About the author: Mgr. Eva Hájková, MBA

Specialist in preventive medicine, functional medicine and nutrition, author of the book "Hravě o živé stravě" and mother of two.

Professional profile

I graduated from the bachelor's and master's programmes in public health protection at the Medical Faculty of the University of Ostrava. My background includes work as a consultant in preventive medicine and as a coordinator of screening programmes for the National Health Service (NHS) in London, where I gained valuable public-health experience.

I then earned an MBA from ESCP Europe with a focus on online entrepreneurship in fitness, nutrition and health, and pursued specialised training in functional medicine and nutrition — including studies at the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Chris Kresser Institute. Together with my husband Michal, I co-founded the Institute of Functional Medicine and Nutrition in the Czech Republic, where I educate doctors and specialists in functional medicine.

Personal profile

I am a mother of two, Eliška and Tomáš, and the partner of my husband Michal. Our family lived in Australia, where I worked as a specialist in nutrition and disease prevention and as a holistic health coach. After returning to the Czech Republic, I focus on lecturing and education in functional medicine and nutrition.

I am the author of the book "Hravě o živé stravě", which brings my nutrition knowledge to a wider audience. Although often associated with vegetarianism, I emphasise an individualised approach to nutrition and respect different dietary preferences.

Overall, I am committed to a multidisciplinary approach to health and to education in functional medicine and nutrition.
